Advanced Ladder and its owner, Alexander Kim, sued former employee Anthony Carlson, APC Distribution, Badger Ladder and its principal on Jan. 29 in Washington Superior Court for King County. The lawsuit, filed by Chung, Malhas & Mantel, alleges the defendants conspired to steal trade secrets, interfere with customers, defame the company and intimidate the Kim family. According to the complaint, Carlson used misappropriated Boeing-specific drawings, pricing structures and customer lists to form APC. Badger Ladder is accused of collaborating with Carlson to harm the plaintiff including by opening a nearby warehouse to siphon customers by spreading defamatory narratives. The case is 26-2-04073-7 SEA, Advanced Ladder Inc Et Ano v. APC Distribution LLC.
